I first wrote an article about Technetium's Slamit Pinball Big Score way back in May 2007 and it seems the company have finally found a publisher (Strategy First Inc) as the game is now available for purchase on Steam for the bargain price of US$4.99
Fiirst reports appear favourable with several players stating the game is well worth a look, albeit let down a little by the fact there is only one table currently available.
The publisher was supposedly supplying me with a review copy but that doesnt seem to have materialised yet. Hopefully I can bring you a review soon.

Super Flite (Future Pinball)

Second cab off the rank for Greywolf this week is a Future Pinball remake of Super Flite (Williams 1974). The 4 player version entitled Strata Flite is also now available.
Greywolf has been very busy these last few weeks and has graced us with 3 new table releases this week. Triple Strike (Williams, 1975) is a great Future Pinball remake of this classic table. Beautiful lighting effects, and fast and furious action make this bowling themed table a worthy addition to your collection.
Visual Pinball V9.0.2 has been released into the wild by David Foley (Created by Randy Davis, Chris Leathley, Rolle Cruz, Brian Smith).
It just goes to show, if you love something, set it free. If it comes back it's probably a horse, if it doesn't then perhaps its an inanimate computer program lacking freewill.
I seem to have stumbled upon an undocumented feature in Future Pinball which will hopefully save some of you a lot of time when using the new arcaderender mode.
After launching Future Pinball in arcaderender mode and pressing Scroll Lock to edit table position and size, hold down the keypad "Del" key whilst resizing and moving the table and it will increment MUCH faster than usual.
The discovery may have come a little too late for those who have already spent many tedious hours resizing their Future Pinball table collection for arcaderender mode on their monitors, however its sure to be of help to those about to embark on the arcaderender journey.

Future Pinball tables updated

Several Future Pinball tables have recently been updated.
I had intended to post an article about ZEN Pinball: Rollercoaster for iPhone late last year when I first spotted it in the wild but alas it slipped my mind.
This appears to be quite an amazingly well made game considering its for a portable device. Pay particular attention to the use of the iPhone's inbuilt accelerometer to control the viewing angle of the table giving it a pseudo holographic appearance. The sound of the ball rolling around the table is also a nice touch and adds to the ambience. I know this is on my list to "must buy" when I eventually make the jump to iPhone.
