I recommend that users will find the game more enjoyable by setting the Pixel Shader setting to version 1.1 within the game options. This will likely result in much smoother gameplay on some systems. I tested this on an AMD 3000+ with Nvidia 6600GT and the speed and ball movement was far better using Pixel Shader 1.1 compared to V2.
